Description
1 Falus Copper Coin | Gujarat Sultanate (1411–1443 CE)
This historic 1 Falus coin comes from the powerful Gujarat Sultanate, a dominant Islamic kingdom in Western India during the early 15th century. Minted between 1411 and 1443 CE, this copper coin weighs 9.18 grams and has an irregular round shape with a diameter of 17 mm—a characteristic of early hammered coinage.
The coin bears bold Arabic inscriptions on both sides. As a 1/64 fractional unit of the Rupee, this Falus served as everyday currency for the people of the Sultanate.
This coin represents a fascinating period of regional Islamic rule and medieval Indian numismatics. A meaningful piece for collectors of Sultanate-era coins or lovers of India’s Islamic heritage.
