Struck during the reign of Harihara II (1377–1404), this silver tara belongs to the early phase of the Vijayanagara Empire’s monetary system. Weighing approximately 0.22 grams and struck in an irregular round fabric, it represents the small-denomination currency used in everyday transactions.

The obverse displays a Devanagari letter “ha” accompanied by fractional numerals indicating denomination, reflecting the regional script and accounting practices of the period.
