Description

A remarkable piece of German monetary history, this 10,000 Mark Reichsbanknote was issued in 1922 during the economically turbulent period of the Weimar Republic. The exceptionally high denomination reflects the severe monetary instability that Germany experienced in the early 1920s.

The obverse features a portrait of a Young Man by the renowned German artist Albrecht Dürer (1500), framed by ornate engraved designs and detailed German inscriptions.
