This 25 Centavos banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Nicaragua in 1991 as part of the newly introduced Third Córdoba Oro series. The obverse features a portrait of Francisco Hernández de Córdoba, the Spanish conquistador credited with founding several major cities in Nicaragua.
